بينما وصف البيت الأبيض الخطة التي أعلنها الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب حول قطاع غزة بالجريئة، أتى أول تعليق إسرائيلي عليها.
إذ أعلن زعيم المعارضة الإسرائيلية، يائير لابيد، اليوم الأربعاء، أن الإسرائيليين ما زالوا لم يفهموا بعد بشكل كامل تفاصيل تلك الخطة التي وصفها بالقنبلة.
إلا أن لابيد اعتبر أن مؤتمر ترامب مساء أمس الثلاثاء كان جيدا بشكل عام لإسرائيل، وفق ما نقلت وسائل إعلام إسرائيلية.
فيما رأى مصدر سياسي إسرائيلي، أن نتائج لقاء ترامب ورئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو فاقت كل التوقعات والأحلام الإسرائيلية، حسب ما نقلت “معاريف”
خطة جريئة
في حين أكد البيت الأبيض أن ترامب أعلن خطة جريئة لضمان السلام الدائم في غزة.
كما أضاف أن خطته حول ترحيل سكان غزة تلقى تأييدا واسعا بين الجمهوريين.
بدوره، رأى مبعوث ترامب للشرق الأوسط ستيف ويتكوف، أن الرئيس الأميركي أراد منح الفلسطينيين الأمل في مستقبل أفضل، ربما بعيداً عن غزة التي مزقتها الحرب.
في المقابل اعتبرت حركة حماس هذا المقترح بوصفة فوضى، ستشعل الحرب في الشرق الأوسط.
وكان ترامب اقترح أمس بعد لقائه رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي، بنيامين نتنياهو، فكرة صاعقة تضرب عرض الحائط عقودا من السياسة الأميركية المتبعة في المنطقة، والمتمسكة بحل الدولتين، عبر إعلانه أن بلاده مستعدة للاستيلاء على غزة ونقل الفلسطينيين إلى مناطق أخرى بشكل دائم.
ما أثار العديد من الانتقادت، لاسيما أن أغلب الدول العربية أكدت مرارا وتكرارا تمسكها بحل الدولتين ورفضها تهجير الفلسطينيين من أرضهم، في مقدمتها مصر والأردن والسعودية.
While the White House described the plan announced by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the Gaza Strip as bold, the first Israeli reaction to it has emerged.
Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid stated on Wednesday that Israelis have yet to fully understand the details of the plan, which he described as a “bombshell.”
However, Lapid considered Trump’s conference on Tuesday evening to be generally good for Israel, according to Israeli media reports.
Meanwhile, an Israeli political source stated that the results of Trump’s meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu exceeded all Israeli expectations and dreams, as reported by Maariv.
A Bold Plan
The White House emphasized that Trump announced a bold plan to ensure lasting peace in Gaza.
It also added that his plan for the relocation of Gaza’s residents has received broad support among Republicans.
For his part, Trump’s Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff, stated that the U.S. president aimed to give Palestinians hope for a better future, perhaps away from war-torn Gaza.
On the other hand, Hamas described the proposal as chaos that would ignite war in the Middle East.
Trump had proposed on Tuesday, following his meeting with Netanyahu, a shocking idea that disregards decades of established U.S. policy in the region, which has adhered to the two-state solution. He announced that the U.S. is prepared to take control of Gaza and permanently relocate Palestinians to other areas.
This proposal has sparked widespread criticism, especially since most Arab countries—led by Egypt, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia—have repeatedly affirmed their commitment to the two-state solution and their rejection of the displacement of Palestinians from their land.
